This is my homebuild cx500 with gl650 engine,and russian izs sidecar.
Still in development ,but used as holliday ,rally's and weekend drive motor.

I think dutch bikers have something with sidecars, we have an Kawaski GTR1000 with an EML sidecar at home.

No, sorry. I have heard of the Elefantentreffen before, and I am seriously interested. But there are some complications for that:

First: Because I am 19 now (and only have my motorcycle drivers license since about one year now), I am only allowed to drive motorcycles with the power of 25 KW or less. The GTR 1000 is a bit above that.

Second: The Kawasaki hasn't been out of the the winter storage since 2 or 3 years (that is because it is my fathers motorcycle and he had it too busy the last years to use it and unfortunately my father died last November because of a work-related accident). So before we can use it again we first have to make sure it is driving well again.

And last: I am very busy at the moment, during the weeks I am in Rotterdam because of my study and during the weekends I am at home in Didam (Gelderland) and I am repairing my own 1993 Kawasaki GPX600R. Which I want to be repaired as soon as possible. Apart from that I have another 1993 Kawasaki GPX600R which I originally bought for spare parts for the first one, but I am thinking of getting that one driving again.

Why not buy a Mz250 sidecar?

Yes, the 600 is tuned back (with little rings in the carburetors) from 63 KW to exactly 25 KW

. I didn't said I only like motorcycles with sidecars

, but it occurred to me that there are many dutch sidecar drivers (compared to what I know of foreign motorcyclist with sidecars). I will probably wait with driving a motorcycle with sidecar until I am allowed to drive my fathers GTR1000 and then get some lessons first in sidecar driving (because without the sidecar that GTR1000 already is a really heavy bike).

This is my fist sidecar,
a fj1200 with velorex car i built .Loads of power.
The best scool is just by driving it a much as you can.

We took it to elefpanttreffen pasou .

Things taken off,and added :lol:

I am going to remake the wiring ,ditch all modern luxery as indicaters ,starter engines .
Its a kickstarter engine ,so i will take out the startermotor and put a small battery in his place.

And just to keep me busy ,i cut and weld some stainless :roll:
