In researching the S600 & S800, I've come across two interesting specials. The first is the Carrozzeria Watanabe Griffon, based on the S600 chassis, and dates from 1975. With perhaps under ten made, it can be seen in a few places on the web. At least one appears to be in the US:

I love the riveted aluminum, aircraft tub look. Very special indeed. Not much information is available, other than perhaps Nostalgic Hero Vol.62 where these photographs come from.

Curiously in yellow too, is a one off AZ-1 special, made at the time of release as a special order for someone famous, its available for sale now for not much more than a regular low-km AZ-1.

Not sure about the AZ-1 even if it is wearing S800 style alloys, and the Griffon looks way too 1970s for my taste, but the Garage Suzuki Special S looks just gorgeous… Are there any other nostalgic specials out there? Continuing the yellow theme into the present day, Toyota's Lexus LFA F from 2011...
