Harbor Freight Welder

Recently, I've been thinking about obtaining a welder from Harbor Freight for fabricating and body work purposes, but was wondering if it's worth spending the money. I have very little experience when it comes to welding, but I want to gain more experience and become the next JDM Legend, lol. I'll be going for the dual mig, which is both mig/flux wire, with gas and regulator add ons. With that said, would you guys recommend it? If you do, can you post up pics of some of your welds?

I hope to see many replies in order to make my conclusion.

i had the flux core and got rid of it for 25 bucks, they are what they are. cheap.

I bought a Lincoln welder mig and my co/argon mix tank, and happy with it. Invested 1000 usd tough. But the savings alone, are great.

What i have done easy in the 600 usd range of repair, and not done yet...

I also considered a Harbor Freight welder but decided against it and bought a Lincoln Electric MIG welder. It is more expensive but you get what you pay for imo.

you do get what you pay for. that being said, ive used the HF welders and for the price, theyre not too bad.

I might just go for one since I have to make some brakets for my B310's bumpers. Hopefully by the spring.

Lowes had a nice Lincoln MIG the other day for $420

But I have debated on those Harbor Freight welders too just to have a nice simple and small machine for quick repairs.
