I think the JZ powered one is really lame to be honest.

I would do...
Toyota 'T' powered track roadster using a rusty early crown or stout as donor for large portions of chassis and running gear. Use a Stout front beam axle. Taillights, instruments, trim from early Toyotas. Nardi. 240Z seats.

IMO 2T/3T bear a strong visual resemblance to many of the four banger Ford aftermarket conversions, and the 2T-G/18R-G certainly can pull off the early-mid century race engine look.

Track down a 1959 Datsun. I bought mine to make an all Datsun fenderless hotrod. But when it got here it was too nice so I won't cut it.I love it too much! But if I find another, and it is in pretty bad shape, that is what I will do!

I've seen old landcruisers chopped up into ratrods before, and I've actually been looking to do it myself. End up looking a bit like a model a or an old ford pickup depending on how you chop it. There's a guy in australia that's done a few.

Few years back there were people putting '32 Ford coupe bodies on Datsun truck frames..... May have been back in the '70's... Some magazines did builds on them...
