Such a beautiful car. The RX5s are really underappreciated here in the US. I'm glad to see this time capsule is in good hands!

Cheers Guys,
Charlie passed away recently and I was trying hard to get the car up there for his funeral but just couldn't make it happen.
RIP Charles Dennis Lalley..
A few days before he passed he was in hospital in a bad way. the fan belt broke on its first run for ages and I thought it was weird but would like to think it was him and connected in some way but passed it off as coincidence and old age.
The day I knew there was no way i could get the car up there in time and at the exact moment I was thinking that I could not commit to going the fan belt snapped in my B1600. Hmmmmmmm.
I took Charlie down and had new shocks and springs fitted to make good on the failure to attend.
Pics to follow when the rain bugs out.

RIP Charlie Dennis Lalley.
This car, as you said earlier, has been really well looked after and pampered by Charlie.
It has found a good home with you B1600 and I think Charlie probably knew that when he sold it to you.
I am always amazed how friendships can grow out of our shared passion for nostalgic cars. Friendships that bridge differences in race or creed, bypass the language barrier or span the generation gap.
Goodbye Charlie.

The sun was out today so here's some shots after the new springs and shocks.
Charlie Looks heaps better and rides so much nicer at the new height.
Didn't want it too low and its come out just right I think.

Depends on who you are I try to make up for their being underappreciated by saving as many as I can

I'd like to get one of these myself. Maybe after I sell my MGs I will seriously look for one. A RHD one would be the bee's knees but I'm not holding my breath!

I have recently done a Cosmo Badge change and fitted new plates to it.
I like the wifes Charlie Cosmo theme so made it a clone.
Trying to chase up a rear ap badge for it and some jap lenses.
Would like to fit my gaurd mirrors to complete it but can't bring myself to butcher the gaurds.

Zion,
The badges interchange on all the panels. This is the rear finisher panel where the rotary engine badge goes. I cant put pics up for a while. Just go though the thread and look at a rear shot where the old badge is visable.
Beans, What state is the 121 in?

There are AP badges of a similar style to the the super custom badges (those where fitted to the piston version from what I can work out).
I would give a lung for a set of the AP versions in good nick at the moment.
The AP front grill badge is impossible to get.
