I guess it depends on what car you have. But the Boss hub on my Cressida is well, BOSS. I would consider trading it out for a nice NRG, but for the price there is just no comparison.

The car looks great. Didn't like the aleicas until I saw them on your car. I like it.

Also please don't put a 7M for the love of all things Holy.

N/A 2J would be awesome with ITBs, or an ITBd 1UZ. I would very much love that.

So, a little update then :)

Haven't really done any work on the car lately, but two weeks ago I went to the UK to pick up a non turbo Supra. I found a car on Pistonheads, and a couple of days later I flew over with a couple of mates to pick it up and drive it home. The road trip is 2300km, so I needed some company on the way. As it happens, the route takes us very close to the Nürburgring, so we had to drop by to take the car for a spin. Here's a video of my lap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enYi1TmZwbI

I have now learned that the fastest time ever posted with a non turbo is an 8.47, so I kind of regret not doing one more lap, as I never really pushed the car very hard. Oh well, I guess I will have to buy another one soon :P

Anyway, I didn't really need the whole car, so once we got home we got to work.

My mechanic, David, and myself got the engine out in little more than two hours!

We then sold the chassis as planned, so basically I got a 2JZ-GE with a W58 transmission for ~300USD :D

Next up now is ordering parts. We have landed on using Tokico HTS dampers and a Carina steering rack. I will post more pics as soon as we start working on the Cressida again :)

Ciao!

Went over to my mates garage today to pick up some wheels (that I had to leave as my car rubbed to much with them inside :P), and he suddenly started cutting and welding a pipe to make me an intake. What can I say, it looks horrible and awesome at the same time. Proper steam punk style! The weird part is that it actually made a huge difference to the sound! :D

Still waiting for parts to continue the build, so here are a few pics of the car in it's current state to enjoy while waiting :)

Basically because we have one on the shelf :D

Also, the width seems to be ok.

Awesome!

Anything I should know before I get started? What are you guys doing with the subframe and radiator? We are planning to just fabricate one, but if there are other options, I'm all ears :)
