hello fellow mazdafarians!

i'm new here, and thought id drop a hello!

heres my 7 the "Turtle"

current mods :

RB header with custom exhaust
Dellorto 48
RB springs in the rear with tokico blues
Crazy coilovers in the front with big bore bilsteins and cusco camber plates

ill progressively update with more pics through out the year

Yes! This is perfect. I need to build some coilovers for mine now. Are the Cusco camber plates actually made for that car, or did you repurpose them from something else?

you know im not too sure, i got the whole setup from my mechanic who had a crate of rotary related come from the motherland. they were originally for a GSLSE. i had to cut the lower end of the strut tube to accommodate the smaller spindles on my car. ive seen cusco camber plates specific for first gens, but i cant recall from where? :O

It gives me hope, haha. I plan on making my own front coilovers, so if I can find a set of used (read: cheap) camber plates I can build the coilovers to suit them.

Man I'm so sorry to hear that for you. I hope and pray they catch that Bas#$%. I use to live in the high desert up in Victorville and traveled down the hill to Rancho Cucamonga and LA lots of times to visit friends.

JUST AN FYI! i got her back!

the hooligans cut straight through my steering wheel to get my club bar off.... besides that..
all the did was steal my classwork! :shock:

Also, for anyone in need of Suspension bits for a first gen RX-7, check out RE-Speed, they make coilovers, camber plates, big brake kits (well kits to fit tII brakes which in reality is a BBK for a first gen), they offer the full Tokico lineup, as well as much more. The owner is an avid RX-7 club member and first gen owner himself and bar none has some of the best customer service in the industry

Hello friends!

small update

Keep in mind at this point I've decided to go for a "USDM RX-7" look. A little different then what I originally planned different for the car.... but you know how it goes. the look you go for usually costs money! college students work within their money range! lol
besides the cosmetic changes i've changed out my tranny mount. The car had a terrible shudder when engaging first gear, and reverse. The mount eliminated the shuddering problem, but I feel a weird vibration coming from what seems like the drive shaft? Ill have to take a look at it when I get a chance.....I also got a new clutch master, and will be installing that when I have some free time. On to some pictures of "The Turtle"

The first move:
I swapped out the "ROH Snypers" I had on the car.... for some unidentified wheels that I picked up from an SA (T2 built with full resto) owner out near magic mountain for only $150. DOPE!. lol ( if you have an idea as to what these wheels are please let me know :mrgreen:

) I also removed my air dam.

I recently met a buddy at school with the exact same color car as me! (except his car is a GSL-SE...... Jealous... lol)

We got to talking, and he told me that he had a hatch louver (80's much?? :wink:

) I asked him if he'd like to trade my air dam for his louver, and lower valence. To my surprise he agreed!

Here's a rear picture with the louver with two FC. I currently have Racing Beat springs in the rear, but they are not nearly giving me an even drop then the front of the car.

3 more weeks till 7 Stock! hopefully ill have some time to get a wax in, and a couple more reliability mods in
