Car has now sat for a couple of weeks. Went out and had a look today, paint still looks good, but on certain angles under the fluro lights I can see some imperfections in the panel work. Not too sure what they are, will get the car rolling and get it out into daylight to get a better look. Maybe it will block out when I colour sand it, not too sure.

I guess worst case scenario, I will have to rub the affected spots back, repair if necessary, hi fill, guide, block and respray the car again........

I have plenty of orange left, will just need some more clear.

Hoping that this will block back....had a look on the net at a few other acrylic resprays and they all look shit off of the gun, but then block and polish up beautifully, so fingers cross this is the case. Mine seems to have a lot more gloss off of the gun than most I looked at on the net.

Just unpacked all the bits to get the car rolling again, struts, crossmembers etc, just need to get the bearings pressed onto the axles so I can put the diff together.

Will post some pics as I start putting everything underneath, hopfully not followed by pics with the car showing some more primer......

Awesome! What kind of Urethane bushing set up did you go with? Are those Nolathanes? I see you've redone the diff and brakes, are you still going with that set up? or has your direction changed?

All bushes on the car have been replaced with Nolathane. Still planning on using original diff and original brakes at this point. For the cars purpose, I think the brakes will be fine. Diff should last also, not planning on giving this car too much of a hard time, more of a weekend cruiser.

Ha Ha, yeah you're probably right.....love a good skid or 2.....Figure If I decide to skid it up a bit or use it for hillclimbs etc, will go a hilux, S5 box and some decent brakes.

After watching the clip above, I get visions of using it in NC and thrashing the living shit out of it.....

I had a locker capella centre, but got rid of it........

Hows your weapon coming along???

Still chipping away at it, but have not been arsed to update the build thread. I might update it soon just waiting on some stuff from the trimmers. Most will probably wont like the way i intend to head with the car now anyways

No too much to update on.
Have started re-assembling the front end and getting little things done like new bearings on the rear axles etc.

Need to get it rolling and outside so I can go over the shell and check for imperfections. Have found a few, so will have to bite the bullet and repair the little bits and respray the car again. Bit disappointed, but what do you do....

Need to remind myself I am not a panel beater or a painter, so I need to just suck it up and get on with it

Will post up some pics when the front end is in and the diff etc.

On another note, I sold my beloved WRX this week after many years of ownership. At least that is one less distraction away from the Mazda!!

Thanks for the positive comments guys, much appreciated. They seem to keep me going when I get frustrated with the project. I did put some other updates up, but the site had issues again, so they came down.

For those that missed it, I will put a couple of pics back up.....The front end is almost back in after the biggest head ache with a mismatch of different series RX2 parts resulting in an issue with tie rod ends......

And got bored and trial fitted a rim with polished nuts and my cusom centre caps.....
