Awesome! What kind of Urethane bushing set up did you go with? Are those Nolathanes? I see you've redone the diff and brakes, are you still going with that set up? or has your direction changed?

All bushes on the car have been replaced with Nolathane. Still planning on using original diff and original brakes at this point. For the cars purpose, I think the brakes will be fine. Diff should last also, not planning on giving this car too much of a hard time, more of a weekend cruiser.

Ha Ha, yeah you're probably right.....love a good skid or 2.....Figure If I decide to skid it up a bit or use it for hillclimbs etc, will go a hilux, S5 box and some decent brakes.

After watching the clip above, I get visions of using it in NC and thrashing the living shit out of it.....

I had a locker capella centre, but got rid of it........

Hows your weapon coming along???

No too much to update on.
Have started re-assembling the front end and getting little things done like new bearings on the rear axles etc.

Need to get it rolling and outside so I can go over the shell and check for imperfections. Have found a few, so will have to bite the bullet and repair the little bits and respray the car again. Bit disappointed, but what do you do....

Need to remind myself I am not a panel beater or a painter, so I need to just suck it up and get on with it

Will post up some pics when the front end is in and the diff etc.

On another note, I sold my beloved WRX this week after many years of ownership. At least that is one less distraction away from the Mazda!!

Hey mate been following your thread for a while. Great restoration! Do you have a link or contact for the rotary stickers you bought for the air filter cover? Thx

Thanks for the positive comments guys, much appreciated. They seem to keep me going when I get frustrated with the project. I did put some other updates up, but the site had issues again, so they came down.

For those that missed it, I will put a couple of pics back up.....The front end is almost back in after the biggest head ache with a mismatch of different series RX2 parts resulting in an issue with tie rod ends......

And got bored and trial fitted a rim with polished nuts and my cusom centre caps.....

Ok, I have had a couple of PM’s to do an update.....

Not a lot has really happened of late.....lost a fair bit of “mojo” in terms of wanting to work on it....to be honest felt like crushing it....but alas we are back into it when time permits....

A few pics below..... front end is all in, rear end is all in and car is rolling......

Wheeled it outside for the first time in years today...... Must admit it was pretty exciting......

Need to finish off a couple of bits in the rear end, tighten up the arms now that it is on the ground and then start the process of rubbing it back for respray V2.......

Comparison of the last time it was outside........

Got some tyres on the restored rims, just need to get the whitewalls done. Car has brakes for the first time ever since I have owned it!! Never even had a handrake!!

Purchased a heap of stuff to finish the car off. Getting close now, just need to keep going......

A quick little crappy vid.....

Will post some more updates soon.
