Nice Corolla! I hope to see some betetr pics soon.

Meanwhile, yesterday I took the tires off of my new (to me) rims, and attempted to talk a close friend out of buying a Fiero.

Ever heard the saying measure twice, cut one...well I only measured once. Tried to put a x7 k-member in my x6 today...the logical thing would have been to measure before taking the k-member out of the x6. Needless to say, it doesnt fit. Stuck with the sloppy steering box. :[ bummer.

Thanks for confirming. We were planning this swap into my buddies x6.

Sucks to hear that though.

I changed the oil for the first time since 1985 and put in new spark plugs, then discovered that I need a new exhaust and muffler :( Any good recomendations for a muffler for a 20R with sidedrafts. I want nice sound, but not annoyingly so. Twin exits would be nice as well.

I pulled the gas tank out of my TE72 recently. Took it to the local radiator shop for hot tank cleaning. I used 6 cans of spray pain. I also replaced all the oem rubber gaskets, fuel strainer, denso fuel pump and fuel filter. Now the car runs soo much better. Some pictures i took before and after i pained the gas tank.

Got my new transmount today...Now I just have to motivate myself enough to put the engine/tranny in the car so I can USE the new transmount. Has anyone put the 4:10's from the x7's into the x6? Any noticable difference?

Installed some Aussie Amber tail light lenses on the wagon today, last weekend installed some rust free stock wheels and a '75 chrome bumper (no more fugly rubber corners on the front at least)

Its a bit hard to tell from that photo but it still looks to be sitting out a long way, although that could just be a bit of a visual trick with that grille.
Wheels are lookin sharp though mate! :tu:

It still sticks out as much as the old one, but that can be fixed down the road. Looks much better though than having the rubber corners though.

Wheels themselves were a nice cleanup for the originals that were a bit on rusty side.
