The Jackaroo is still in one piece and performed flawlessly. I was quite amazed at how well it performed.

The only way to turn your 2wd into a 4wd using factory parts is to swap your body onto a 4wd chassis.

So - we need the whole frame from 4WD version? Frame from Trooper 4WD will fit?

A Trooper frame will not fit, you need a 4wd frame from a KB Faster or Rodeo.

Dragged home another Jackaroo, this ones a 82 and had a straight 6 engine conversion at one time now removed by previous owner. Near complete minus original engine.

This is good thread. Finally I got an ARB Bumper for my 1st gen (91) Trooper. Supposedly, only 10-12 ARB bumpers for 1st gen Troopers were ever imported into the States. 8)

hmmmm I have been pondering....................................................................................................................
I have decided that in about 12 months i am going to fit a 3.8l holden commodore engine to my jackaroo troopy. I do believe that is a buik motor in the usa.
I have found a kit that has every thing to bolt the 3.8 liter in and have it running. so i will go down this path after i have finnished my 240z project
As i origonaly started this thred to be my build thred and it has been sevearly hijacked
I will start a new one when i start working on it
