Well, I did fix it. Turned out pretty easy and the slide hammer wasn't even needed. I had never attempted something like this before so there was some fear.
Plus, it's a project car and I didn't want to start something that would ruin all my progress that has gotten to the point of being driveable

Thats what I was afraid of. Also, didn't want to spend alot of money on a part that I will replace when I blow up the motor, engine or rear end.

Also cleaned the breather on the diff. Think that is what caused the leaky seal.
