So let’s talk Celica stuff. I ordered some new running or marker light covers (clear) and installed them. I had one fall out :wall: driving don’t ask how. So I bought 2 just because. If anyone needs a right marker I have one.

Then I ordered front and back window seals, and for our friends over the river…"wind screen" seals. :-)

Then a total lock set; ignition, trunk and the two doors. YAH less than a MacGyver not only could get in but drive the thing away.

Then finally the two quarter window seals. And again if you want the old ones their not real bad but they are split a tad.

I’m having my favorite upholstery guy do my seats finally so no more seat covers and It will still have the pockets in the back and the dragon on the back head rest which is a signature in the Celica cabin. :typerhappy: :boogie:

That’s it for now I will of course pic the heck out of all this up and coming stuff…cya

Agreed. Unfortunately I conformed and resize mine to 640x480 instead of 800x600. I have to anyway since my originals are huge!

So today was the day for the install of the window seals (finally) !!

Surprisingly the front went on very well. I ask if he wanted me to take the headliner out or anything else he said, “no its gonna be okay”. I thought this was going to be a breeze then the back window … well it was pretty tight. But with some pushing and pulling we got the seals to seat.

Exposing the top clips was also a daunting experience. It went on perfect at the end. He was nice enough to mount the louvers…perfect. He said the old windows take a special sealer that costs $25 a tube.

The last time the trim was taken off I didn’t have a chance to buff them so I did polish these and they came out great!! 8O

The overall experience was not that bad. He said the heat of the day makes a big differents. 8)

I would post pictures but site has restrictions on size so...none

Well it’s time for another upgrade this is a 22R, go figure but hey I’ve been living with an 18R all of my Celica life so this will be a wild ride for me. :boogie: Of course I’m going to picture the standard shiny new parts and what it’s gonna have, and the cross member and oil pan…but hey that’s why we’re all here!! :D
If you know of someone that has a 75 in that let me know. It looks like the bell housing will match. Maybe a dowel would need to be shaved off, but the pressure plate and disk match fine.

Here’s some starting parts… 8) :typerhappy:

Again NO PICS :td:

I got my seats back today I’m very happy with what he did. So into the trash the seat covers go….YAY!

Also I put the louvers on so had to of course get some shots of those.

There’s a car show in downtown Gresham tomorrow so I’ll drive her down and grab some shots since I’m there. 8)

NO PICTURES  :td:

Its back, I am very happy with what they did!! Thanks to them, and maybe a bit of product placement, but hey the job deserves it. :-D :-D

Thanks Pro Detail for a job well done!!

The owner and his son said that they had at least 15 to 20 ppl stop by to inquire or ask if it were for sale.

That’s all I’m going to say about this. Back to the garage it goes…for now.

NO PICS   :td:

Well UPS brought by something that has been holding me back from my swap. :typerhappy:

This 1975 oil pick-up tube has been a real dilemma for me.

But “ra22turbo” from 1stGenCelica helped me out by selling his to me for a great price!

This is what it’s all about, us sharing info and hard to find parts...kudos to him!! :highfive:

jpg[/img] AGAIN NOT HAPPENING

So its in, and thats the only good thing! It looks as if the oil pan isnt fitting proper (too thick up front) or the mounts are wrong. I was told the pan was off of a 75 which it has to be. Does anyone have a pic of a 75 oil pan?? Google doesnt pick one out.

If the mounts are then it looks to be too tall for my stock hood to shut. Im sitting now  what to do.

engine swaps are great but all this weird stuff always has to come up. WHY UGH!!

surprise no pics...no where else but here... :td:

Hi walter34.

You need to upload your pics to an image hosting site like imageshack/photobucket/tinipic etc. and then just simply copy the forum code and paste it in to your post.

Hope that helps?

Cheers :tu:

I've been posting that way here for years than the sudden change in size on the pics to be posted. I like to copy and paste and not having to resize every post.

Just expressing my thoughts...simple works

Man that car looks soooo sweet. These look cool with a 2TG fitted under the hood. :) The standard wheels that came on my TE71 Corolla Coupe are the same as your spare...
