Is there any difference with the 660 and 850 crankshaft? Anyone know if there is any gains if i use the 660 crank in the 850 engine?

Nope. You will loose combustions area. The ED has 81mm stroke, the EF just 60,5mm.

So keep the crankshaft to the matching engine block.

Ive put on L200S front vented discs but becuase its thicker, i think the L80 driveshafts may be 15mm short. I can fit on the axle nut but i cant get the pin through the driveshaft spline hole...

Theblock has been disassembled and will going to the shop to get bored and honed soon. I may try and port the head myself (never attempted before) otherwise it'll go to the shop also

Clean up the sharp lip around all the valve seats mainly. The ports should be mostly fine (unless you know what you're doing) if you just clean up all the casting marks and smooth out the walls.

Here's a picture of the head that I started working on before I noticed the head was cracked. You can see the lip I'm talking about though. If you're running the 660 pistons, you'll want to decompress the chambers a little bit anyway, otherwise the compression ratio will be a bit wild (like 13:1) so the lower you can easily get it, the better. Decking some of the dome on the pistons might be another option if need be.

is there a difference between the ED and EF conrods? i dont want to waste money on swapping the ED rods onto the EF pistons if i dont need to...

Big end bearings are smaller on the EF rods/crank.
