I hope so. I love the first gen celica's. I had a 76 hatchback for a short bit, but had to get rid of it cause I had too many projects and no real space to work.

I know of two other guys on 1stGenCelica: Skeptic and Celicoupe. Both live within 10 minutes of me up here. I'll see if I can get them to come.

I just swapped an 18RG into it with Mikuni sidedrafts. I have all the EFI gear on the way from down under so I can convert it with megasquirt. It runs like crap with the mikunis. I make all the fiberglass parts for it. :)

Hopefully by next year I will have my corolla looking presentable. I am just happy to have my car idling with EFI and she has even moved on her own power once :)

I will have to start working with more fiberglass for my dash and the body stuff I want to do.

It has an 8R-C. Pretty close from what I understand.

I'm in, i'm always looking for a good excuse to drive my datsun around. I'm sure i could round up a few other Friends for this. (Brody) Bhhamblin has a really nice skyline DR30.

I didnt' notice a date for this yet, did you have one set?

Personally I have a few weekends at the end of July, beginning of August that will not work for me but I propose Saturday August 13th as a tentative date. I would prefer a park with shade and a place for the kids to play. BBQ or even informal pizza and drinks would be just fine. I am partial to Murray Park cause its beautiful (and close to my house  )

That is the current date for a meet. We have all said we would gladly do an earlier one. I am planning on having my corolla street legal by the 13th meet. Any sooner then I will also want to do any meets done earlier too :)

i think noon should be good.

most of the car guys i hang out with are always late so if we plan noon, i expect 2pm.

there is a big empty parking lot on the south side that we can take over but id prefer the smaller one in the east side. it just may be crowded.

thoughts?

Hey guys, it's Eric from JDML. I've been wanting to put together a meet for a while but I always seem to be a bit too swamped to ever find the time to organize it. Murray park sounds great! Hopefully I can get our dealer plate issue worked out soon so I can bring something cool down since the Starlet is still out of commission :(

This sounds like it could turn out decent. I just need to really hurry up on my car now.

Its good to see that we are agreeing on an actual date. This is going to be a great little meet! As far as the time- has anyone thought about the evening- say 6ish? The east side of the park would have pretty good shade by then. It is August and is pretty hot in the middle of the day. We could have a BBQ and stay late. I've always liked evening car shows. Also the day would be open for other things or last minute car prep

I would be happy to go over to the park office and see what a pavilion reservation would look like or at least secure parking for 20+ cars together.

aah good point about shade.

sure check pavilion $$ if its like 20$ im sure we could all pitch in a buck to cover it.
