I will be down. I would rather get my rolla running before hand obviously.

I think a park meet would be good. I am thinking late july, but again, need to see who else replies.

Ditto. My only goal for the end of summer is to have my car driving and street legal. Body comes after my alltrac is on the road.

Come on SLC, and surrounding area's, whats your thoughts on a meet?

Derek- This is a great idea. I know we have a good amount J-Tin floating around her in Utah. People just need to drive them or drag them out. Doesn't matter what condition they are in, we want to see them. I will bring both my 510 wagon and my Hilux. I will start spreading the word.

Personally I have a few weekends at the end of July, beginning of August that will not work for me but I propose Saturday August 13th as a tentative date. I would prefer a park with shade and a place for the kids to play. BBQ or even informal pizza and drinks would be just fine. I am partial to Murray Park cause its beautiful (and close to my house  )

On another note, I am planning on going down to JCCS this year with my 71 Hilux. Its a great show and well worth the effort to get down there if anyone wants to caravan.

I am game for that as a tentative date.

If any of us can meet up sooner then that works to. I just need to get mine running right and street legal :)

I am up for a sooner meeting too. Thought that date might give people enough time to plan and gather up their friends.

If you are legalizing your car soon, in case you didn't know, as of July 1st, 30 year old cars and older can be registered as Vintage in Utah and not require a yearly safety inspection! It used to be 40 and older.

Nice. I assume for the first inspection it needs to get safety done though, correct? Or is that in general?

Guess the big concern is passing emissions which shouldn't be an issue for me once I have the EFI right.

As far as I know they require a one time safety. When I called the DMV that's all they required. No emissions.

Wish I knew more people into my choice cars. My friends prefer the newer cars with less work needed. They think I am a little nuts for spending my time and money on my cars.

Hey Derek, I'll be there along with the rest of my family of Toyotas. :)

1977 Celica Coupe
1977 Celica Liftback
1977 Corolla Liftback
1976 Corolla Fastback

Maybe we could get Eric from JDM Legends to join us? I'll ask him next time we're there. :tu:

Figured I'd post here, I'm in Lehi/work in sandy, but currently I don't have a j-tin. In the market for one slowly, but I'm moving to Cali soon so my priority is the move/new home. Depending on what happens in the next few weeks I should have a new ride if I'm around. However, if there's a BBQ I'm always happy to come around, say hi, and tell people their car rocks.

This is great! Its already picking up steam. Can't wait to see all the cars. You know with the long days of summer we could have a meet on a weekday evening as well. Maybe even make it a regular thing.

I keep in touch with Ryan (blue 4 door 510) but he has been working some long hours lately. I will let him know.

And Derek- I just met a friend of a friend that works at Mark Miller Toyota but he is big into vintage Land Cruisers. He came over to my house last night and we diagnosed my Hilux carb. I told him about yours and he's willing to help. Let me know when I can help you with your suspension and such.

Are there any other Celica owners around here that you know about?
