Not sold on the whale tail, but I dig it still.

Still got that NOS quarter panel if it interests you... 8)

cheap initial cost, mainly.

not about to pay out the ass for some worn to hell CLSD out of a 87+ Z31T and didn't want to really pay out the ass for a 2-way that would clunk all the time haha

I think it'll be good for my car, I shimmed it up with a shim so it'll lock up harder than stock, but hopefully not shimmed so much it acts like a welded lol

also finished up the subframe today, going to put it in tomorrow with the help of some friends :D

You should drive a fresh Nissan CLSD though. Very, very good. Mine locks predictably and HARD, perfectly civil though. Rebuilding it is up there with the best money I have spent on my car.

Can see where you're coming from though.

FWIW the factory R200 clutch LSD is a 2 way, its the very same item Nismo sell as the GT-LSD, and precision gear sell as a 'powerbrute LSD'.

sorry for the late reply, this site hasn't been working for me lately lol

I used a Z32 VLSD and put it in an SE V6 200SX diff (3.9:1 R200) and used 280ZXT outer CV's/axles and Q45/Z32 inner CV's welded onto the axle shaft

it's a great mod, but at my height the outer boot hits the frame rail and tears it up so I'm looking to convert back to regular half-shafts...

this 800 pixel width limit is whack.

at any rate, like any daily driven racekor, I've been breaking and fixing things constantly. broke 2 or three crossmembers (or maybe broke the same one twice, I can't remember haha)

at any rate, here's a quick over view of what I've done since I forgot about this thread/didn't have a computer:

learned how to stretch tires:
http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 1213_n.jpg
mounted this myself.

got a new plate, and fixed pretty much all my rear camber (BECAUSE RACECAR):
http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 1416_n.jpg

http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 1440_n.jpg

(also took the kit off for a minute)
http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 6356_n.jpg

hit the track
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/ ... C_0128.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/ ... C_0253.jpg

did shitty as FARK, couldn't keep it sideways in 3rd/get up past 60mph entries...

so to add a little more power, I did this:
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 9469_n.jpg
3 screw SU's with SM needles. having a bit of a problem at high rpm's with the carbs actually flooding the motor out and causing a massive stutter at about 6k (did get it to go to 7k once, was really great haha) but the bottom end and midrange is SO AWESOME with these. driveability and fuel economy have even improved with these over the EFI!

LAWLS, no one cares about my car since it became a because racecar

I modded my knuckles, but only slightly. I can use the original ones from my car if I want to mod them further
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 3197_n.jpg
currently enjoying the added angle a whole lot, but only glorifies the fact that I need moar power
http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 8277_n.jpg
can still also get more angle with a de-powered power rack (is different from a regular non-power rack) along with inner tie rods from an S13 and rack spacers.

then clearanced and braced the control arms because of the added angle
http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn ... 7149_n.jpg

and also installed some T3 RCA's finally.
http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 8437_n.jpg
kind of regret it in that I won't be able to fit my original sizing plans for my new wheels (14x10 all around) so I'm just going to stick with 14x9/14x10 stagger whenever I get to getting them rebarreled.

Love the car, but have to ask. Why didn't you just get a MS or something for the EFI? EFI has the capability beating carbs and getting better economy. That and less hassle tuning them.

because $300 in converting to carbs>$1000+ for EMS, and another $2k+ for ITB's.

carbs are cooler, anyways. I like manually tuning my engines, something about it is more gratifying than plugging in a computer.

Well, it is your car, so too each his own lol. Figured under 300 for a Megasquirt and an adapter and you would have been golden. That and you do tune with EFI, or atleast I do.

Mind you, not saying anything negative about carb's. Just not my cup of tea, so had to ask why remove efi for them.
