As the time gets closer Id thought I’d share. Around two months or so ago a good friend of mine (drift86) and I spent a day doing a photoshoot for a well known Japanese magazine. Both cars will be featured in the upcoming issue.

More on this once the magazine comes out.

So a while back I located a rear 5speed badge for the Hakosuka. Had a heck of a time trying to find one but eventually found a pair.

The plastic chrome was still nice on the bottom badge

Fresh coat of black & a lil polish does wonders

With the help of wookieballa & my skyline book found the correct placement.

Now I just need to install my rear skyline badge on the decklid. Looks naked without it.

The weather has been nice so I had been driving the C10. I decided to switch cars.

I had plans to work on some stuff at the shop but slight change of plans so I decided to get some work done on the kenmeri. So shortly after the car arrived from its previous owner I noticed the left outer tail light was not working. Popped the truck & realized one of the pigtails was fried. Luckily I found another wire harness from another Nissan/Datsun around the same year and cut what I needed from there.

After the taillight harness was repaired I noticed the brake lights weren’t working so I checked the fuses & they were good. Next was the brake light switch. Noticed the spring loaded plastic tip would not movie in or out. Also noticed the rubber bushing where the switch rests against so the lights don’t stay on was missing.

Image.

Went to my local parts store & bought a brake light switch from a 71 240z. Both switches are wired the same way and almost the same length.

Next I needed to find another rubber stopper or something so the pin has something to rest on to keep the lights from staying on.

@ Norcal510 Just saw your article today when I picked up my issue. Wish I could read Japanese. Hope to see your car in person someday.

Lol I also wish the same. I'm not certain what the article says either. Will have to wait to speak with my friend who can translate for me.

I look pretty funny in the picture. Also didnt realize how low the exhaust on the kenmeri still looks. Which kinda makes sense why the other day when I was pulled over on the side of the road some old man stopped by and ask if I need help.
