No way. The swap would make a ton of power but the old engine, as weak as it is, sounds like the gods.

Yes I agree. The motor lacks power BUT its a mini F1 engine. The sounds that come out that lil motor are amazing.

In the words of Jay Leno he said " the S600 is the best sounding car in his collection after his McLaren F1 and his Carrera GT"

that says a lot for a man with a huge collection of cars.

Wow. It seems that you've done a high quality job ! But our N and Z deserve it.
Any other pics available ?
Beautiful green ! Is it the Z600 "popo green", or a modern repro of this color ?

Yes Im happy with the way it turned out. thanks!

I have a few other pictures that Ill post later. Im very happy with the green, it was between this green or a maroon. I have a few other ideas to add to the car before I put it up f/s which should make the car look even more awesome.

The color is somewhat close to the "Popo green". However it is a more modern color but still keeps the car looking period correct.

Thanks for the good feedback!

Another shot of the back before cut/polish. :D

FANTASTIC N600 paint. If you don't mind me asking, what are you using for paint? Brand, primers, sealers, and clear? How many coats of each? Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. I generally use DuPont paints, however I also spray PPG but tend to lean more towards DuPont. As for primers I like to stay within the product line. So in this case I only used primer filler as I always block my paint jobs prior to my final topcoat.

Regarding clearcoats my all time favorite is DuPont 72400/72500. With the right clear gun it lays the clear down like glass. oh and coats I usually spray min of 2 coats but also depends on what color & how deep I want the color to look.

Hope that helps. Once I get the new tires for N600 I’ll be rolling it out the shop to snap a few pics in the sun. :tu:

Great info, Ive sprayed the PPG single shot paints and had pretty good luck. Are you blocking to 600 wet before you paint? Can't wait to see the rest of the photos.

I usually block 600 grit min. Depending on color I will go higher.

New rubber for the N600 came in last week.

Will have to remove the old tires & blast the wheels before they go back on the car.
