Thought we could start a Limo thread.
A bit unusual and lots of fun seeing what the Elite of yesteryear were being driven around in.

This one came up on the Maxima forums a few months ago. I was supposed to go down to the yard in MD to grab the Kaminari kit off of it. But went down a week too late because of my friend, and they already scrapped her. =(

According to lukas on OLDJAPANESECAR.COM (http://oldjapanesecar.proboards.com/index.cgi)
"It´s a wedding-car. The japanese brides wear those big hats and with the targa-roof they can get into it and step out without the hat falling down."

I am not a member of OLDJAPANESECAR.COM but credit where credit is due.
Thanks to members "lukas" and "iwanvlaar" for posting information and photographs that I could steal. :tu:

Is it a Sun Deck for catching the rays like what you get on a cruise liner?
Now that is P.I.M.P. :tu:

That Gloria wedding car thing looks straight-up like a JDM Popemobile.

The word "limousine" means a large and luxurious car (from the French, don´t ya know  ).
Up until now we have been posting mainly stretched limo´s but I guess this means we can use this thread for posting nostalgic Japanese cars that have had the V.I.P. treatment as well.
This is one of my all time favourites and I think I saw it first on the JNC home page.

I remember seeing a Toyota Cressida limousine on Craigslist in Tennessee once. The poor thing was crying for a 2JZ swap.

1000hp limo?

Yes please.

I come from a country with amazing tight and twisty roads and my passion has always been for 1970´s and 1980´s Japanese, high-revving RWD cars.
I never understood the VIP scene but a combination of recently moving to Dubai and this photograph has me thinking that a 2 car garage of a JNC sport and a JNC VIP might be the way to go out here. The daily driver can sit in the street!
Damn, I might even leave the auto-box in the VIP....... but drop in a 1UZ. :tu:

Here's an interesting one that was for sale locally last year.

1980 stretched Corona liftback.
