JNC Road Trip

Well my JNC friends, come June 1st I will be flying out to South Carolina to pick up my Wagon, giving it a tune up and then driving it all the way back to the PNW. For those that didn't know, I Just arrived stateside 3 days ago from my deployment to Afghanistan, in which case, the car has been residing in the hands of a good friend out there, whom also picked the car up for me when I bought it while still deployed. I'll be hitting up the tail of the dragon on the way out of the Carolinas. Round two on that twisty road for me, first time was on my last road trip in the AWD.

Leave tomorrow at 730am out of Seattle, arriving in the early evening in Columbia, SC. The Journey begins this weekend! Should get home with a couple days to spare before the Old School Reunion meet.

Arrived in SC around 830pm EST, 2hrs late as DC didn't seem to have a clue as to what they were doing. Tomorrow morning I'll go check it out and snap some pics, crazy feeling because it's the first time I've seen the car in person!

Good luck! You should film short segments to document your trip, and then put them all together. Have a safe trip!

Not going anywhere till I get no start issue fixed, it ran enough for me to drive it a bit last night, been troubleshooting it all day.

diagnosis not looking good, checking compression and timing in the morning, could be effed!

Dang, that's no good.

In the plus side that colour pops after a wash! Looks like its been cleaned up a bit since the last photos you posted.
You gotta get some JDM bumpers on it stat however :mrgreen:

Fixed! Distributor condensor was shot, got some stuff to finish up on it (fluids, verify timing, tires).

awesome! if youre taking i-80 and going through salt lake, we have a cars and coffee gathering every saturday morning. seems like its about the right time frame for you to be driving through. pm me if interested in more.

Journey actually began this morning now that all issues were fixed last night. Had to swap out distributor. Left west Columbia, SC around 730am, currently passing Knoxville, TN.
