Just came back from seeing "The Men Who Stare at Goats" There are a few pieces of J-tin in the scenes from Iraq. KE70 Corolla, old Toyota pickup, and one that I can not identify but judging buy the fact that it had FB RX7 wheels with that weird bolt pattern, it must be an early 80's Mazda.

(weird movie by the way, not sure I liked it much)

I was watching Clint Eastwood "Sudden Impact" with my Dad and I scared him when I yelled, "That's my truck!"

Datsun 620 with a camper shell. There was also a sweet green Mazda REPU.

Just finished watching "House of Bamboo" on Netflix. WoW! Takes place in 1950s Japan and has many street scenes with old Crowns, Coronas, three wheeled trucks and British inspired Japanese cars. Interesting to see post war Japan. Decent story in english and in color. Also features a very young Deforest Kelly of "Star Trek" Fame (McCoy). Here is the link to the preview, although it shows no cars. The beginning and towards the end of the movie is best for car spotting.

In Robocop, the 6000 SUX commercial has a red early '80s Celica, getting threatened by a dinosaur. "An American Tradition, 8.2 MPG."

Hasn't been mentioned yet, great Aussie movie called "The Big Steal"

One of the main characters in the movie is a Nissan Cedric.
Lot's of street scenes, car parks and car yards. Watched it with a mate a few months back and played spotto for the whole movie.
Even spotted a green G10 Charade in one of the street scenes.

Recently had a conversation with my movie-nut friend and he had never heard of "The Yakuza".
This is a fantastic movie directed by Sydney Pollack.
Robert Mitchum is the protagonist but the real star is Ken Takakura (as always).

Set in 1970´s Japan there are way too many cars to list but lifted these stills of the IMCDB

It is a feast of "everyday" cars of 60´s and 70´s Japan presented within the context of a great movie.

When the scenes from Japan came up I watched the back ground trying to spot the different JDM cars, especially any J-tin. I spotted S30's in many of the scenes. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can stop the scenes and make out all the different cars in the back ground.

Thanks for the tip Toolz, I'll definitely have to pick that one up. Gives me something to watch until there's a good English dub of "Seibu Keisatsu."

P.S. I used to be a professional voice actor...if anyone's bothered to translate Seibu Keisatsu I'm down for a fandub...XD

510 in the new transformers installment. It was portrayed in a bad light. I loved it though
