American Racing's Motegi division have finally offered something made for JNCs!

It's called the MR124, and comes in a 15x8 +6.





May not be the awesomest thing ever, but at least it doesn't look like a replica of a true vintage JDM wheel.

Also FYI, they are CHEAP! Saw several sets on ebay in the $400 a set range.

dont these wheel companies get it, we want staggered set ups , something where the lip of the wheel increases in size and not the positive offset. this doesnt only go for the nostalgics, newer cars look good like this too.

If you want staggered, they also make a 15x7 +10?

Although I'm not 100% sure if that's what you meant there...

Think he means wheels where you can rest your cell phone on the lip in the front of the rim.

I kind of like those rims. I may have to look into a set.

Makes sense.

I myself prefer the "bowl" lips to the "flat" lips. Reminiscent of the Sakura and the Hayashi Steet.

I agree negative offset is the way to go I think these wheels would look good on a 510 coupe tho

i understand that the wheel companies try to play it safe and appeal to positive, medium, and negative offset cars, by making a product that looks good on all those cars. but we know wheels are the best visual enhancement made to a car and i want the wheels to fit perfect not just good. also my preference is that the lip increase in size (bowled or flat lip, like them both) when the wheel gets wider, not the back spacing.

Another great inexpensive, wheel option for JNCers. lol

Now, all they need is JWL and VIA, stamped along the spokes... and they'll really look JDM old school.

i really like these the price is awesome too! something different than the xxr brand that is in the 400-500 range and they arent copies. they made their own design and it looks oldskool in sizes we can use love it

The 15x8s have pretty good dish too.

YES, they do.

The 15x8s are wide, but livable and nice looking, if you don't wanna run real WIDE tires... and the 15x9s are for the deep lip, shakotan boogie crowd. Plus, the 0 offset is perfect for our older RWD imports.

Spacers not required.

Now, DF, I'm an old school JDM "real" wheel type of guy... and I'm usually, not a fan of knockoff wheels, but with the new offsets and TRUER styles to the originals, with AWESOME deep widths and negative offsets, at a GREAT price... these knockoffs are looking better and better.

I'm kinda LIKING those Rota Shakotans ALOT... plus with the rarity and outrageous price of the authentic Hayashi Streets. These make ANY ride look good.

Also, you may be lucky to score a set of genuine Hayashi Streets... but they may be the 15x7s and NOT wide enough(for the look we wanna achieve), and at the price you'd pay for another JNC.

While, these have the ALREADY deep lip and "shakotan" look we ALL want. At a price even a beginner can afford.

Even though I consider myself somewhat of a "wheel snob," the Rota Street copies look like the most likely candidate for my Mazda2. A little tire stretch and a set of coilovers will do nicely...
