nobody has a bag kit for this, lol. As far as I know, I'm the only one who is seriously building a bagged mx73. I got the rca's and the camber plates from t3, everything else from work/airbagit.com :D

I forgot about the goon :) . What were those overload bags made for that you used to run?

I believe 'The Goon' is a brown wagon. I have joshiroku's old white wagon.

I bought the car from joshiroku as it is today. I think the first bags he had on there were for a Kia or something, haha.

Having some clearance issues right now. In order to clear these bags I'd need to either run really high positive camber or make it so the car doesn't drop all the way down. When the car is all the way down, I only have about 3.5" of clearance between the unibody and the strut/spindle. Working on a few different options.

Don't suppose you have a set of decent shape tail lights for a x7 that you would want to part with huh?

I've been all over the internet trying to find a passenger side 1988 tail light cause my car got hit and run recently.

I've had no luck on JZXproject.com or toyotacressida.net...

Not to butt in

Layzorbeemz
I saw your post on JZX but I forgot to reply
I have a spare 87-88 rear taillight at home in NY

The only problem is that I'm in Atlanta, GA until the end of the month
Throw me an offer and its yours if you can wait till then.

I have not forgotten about this thing, believe me. But I've been preoccupied with my new acquisition. I know its not japanese, and its not quite nostalgic, but it certainly is fun :D. Anyway, I'll be getting back onto this project very soon. Updates will follow :D

I agree, I followed that build on vipstylecars.com

That van is beyond sweet. I would love to have it in my driveway.

Taking pics again instead of working on my airride. I am ashamed to say this is the best one of the lot, lol.

Just installed my 1" spacers on my daily and rolled the fenders... so... very small update, lol.

Sorry no real updates on the airride build. I've been extremely lazy with this lately. I've since bought a pair of 2500 bags for the rear instead of the 2600's I was originally planning on using. The 2500's are almost the same diameter as the factory spring, so should be much simpler to fab mounts. For the front, I have modified a lower control arm with a mount for the small diameter airbags, and cut into the side of the unibody and notched it. The notch that I welded in has an upper mount for the bag, and is gusseted into the wheel well. Keep in mind this is all just mock-up on my totalled parts car, so the mounts and notches and whatnot are still very rough, and are for the most part just spot-welded in for mock up purposes.

More updates will follow, prolly later this summer. I've been busy with a few other projects. Recently started working on a '69 honda cl350 that I am hoping will be ready by mid spring and also a solid-axle ford ranger that's been taking up alot of my time as well. Trying to finish those little projects before I inevitably sink more months into this thing, lol.

Picking up a complete (hopefully) green velvet interior out of my brother-in-law's Cressida tomorrow. His car got smashed a few days ago, and I've had my eyes on his interior since he bought the car, lol. Sooo, he told me I could have it if I put my interior back in his car. Pretty excited, pics tomorrow. Also I'll be pulling his spare tire as well, bringing me up to just one wheel shy of a complete set of x7 spares for winter :).
