A couple of years ago I purchased a 1959 Mitsubishi 3 Wheel Truck in which I posted on this forum. The previous owner told me that they were officially imported to the U.S. which I never really believed........... until today. Thumbing through an old issue of "Popular Mechanics" I ran across this ad and couldn't believe my eyes. Yes these truck were imported by a company in New York City called "Tri Wheel Trucks Incorporated" The ad shows a model TM15 which has a 2 cylinder engine and a 3000lb payload. My truck is a model TM14 with a single cylinder engine and a 1500lb payload. Price was $1800 Port of entry New York, so I guess the majority of the survivors are located on the EAST coast?
