Yesterday I went with some friends to a show out in SF for Japan Relief. I brought out the c110 and rolled with three friends who also brought out their cars. A s30 G-Nose an authentic Fairlady z and an Ae86. The only picture I snapped of the ae86 on our way to the show.

On our way to the city I did have a little run in with CHP. In the back of my head I knew it would only be a matter of time before I got pulled over. Knowing I had all my paperwork in order I had nothing to worry about. After being guided off the hwy the officer pulls up to the right side of the car and asks my g/f for her license. I quickly hand over mine since I'm the one driving the car and he says no I want to see her's. He continues to say the reason I pulled you over was because she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt. I look over and tell the officer she was wearing her belt because I showed her how to buckled the shoulder belt before we left the house. He starts to argue and say no she wasn't she had it under her arm. Then all of sudden he says “oh Shit you’re the driver, I didn’t even notice the steering wheel was on the other side of the car”. He starts to laugh and says “wow what kind of car is this?” I tell him and he says cool car alright you two have a good day.”

Pretty funny how quickly his attitude changed. :lol:

Both interiors were very nice. I'm sure you can figure out which belongs to what car.

The only picture I took of all three cars before the show. My friend w/the ae86 didnt bring his car into the show until later in the day and by then they put him in another section.

In the end we had a good day and all the money went to a good cause.

I believe the sizing is 15x9.5 Front and 15x10.5 Rear.

Seeing the maroon z in person motivated me to get the ball rolling on a set of wheels I bought a long time ago from the owner the maroon z.

So a few weeks ago I started to seriously look for a set of 5 lug hubs/companion flanges to do a 5 lug swap on the c10. I finally found a set close by and decided to bite the bullet.

So here are the wheels which will be mated to the hubs.

Had bought these a while back (from a member here) but kept putting it aside until I had time to install. Also seeing the maroon zed in the flesh motivated me to get the ball rolling. The wheels are new and were used as a coffee table previously. j/k :lol:

Hubs test fitted... I still have to buy a few other parts to complete the job but should have them on soon.

Those covers appear to be pretty good quality. I was looking over the site & they sell a lot of other good parts. Thanks for the link.

The wheels are 15 x 12 - 51.

Well, been driving the c110 around a bit more since the weather has been nice. Now I noticed after I hit around 100 kph (roughly 62 mph) a buzzer starts to sound off. I'm guessing to notify me I'm going at a high rate of speed as if I were back in 1975.

I wanted to know if anyone knows where this buzzer is hidden under the dash so I can disconnect it. The sound seems to be coming from the back of the speedometer??

I searched the FSM that someone emailed me but couldn't find anything.

Is the buzzer like a ding-dong, ding-dong sound? If so, it's the 105kmh warning chime that was mandated in Japan for a time.

It's usually like a matchbox sized gizmo wired to the back of the speedometer. They make nice crunchy noises when struck hard with a hammer.

haha thats a pretty violent way of disabling it kev :twisted:

When you've had to drive a long distance with it going non-stop in the background, your mind comes up with many creative ways of killing it. A mate of mine notably dispatched his with the assistance of a device called a Desert Eagle, I believe :lol:

Edit: oh, removing it from the back of the speedometer before shooting it, if the preferred method

X-mas in May.

I had been searching for one of these wheels for a while but they were either too expensive or not in the best of condition. With the price of them going up figured I'd but it now before they get too out of hand.

Luckly I came across this one which was in mint condition. The seller had also just bought a new horn pad from local dealer in Japan, which made the deal even better. Im guessing the wheel is from the 10 year anniversary run because of the condition.

Since the c10 is my favorite of the two cars it will be going that car.
