spotted a preserved and mostly intact rs in the boneyard last week
i don't know about the drivetrain, but the exterior just needed some sprucing up to look minty

tempting! funny thing is nobody had really touched the car yet

I am smack in the middle of a restore/refresh of my 1987 Impulse. Personally, I'll agree with the previous reply about the "wrong designer for the body", but otherwise, these little cars are supposedly wicked. I just think the 90s style Saturnish body is, well, butt ugly. I prefer the JR over the JI body bigtime.

Glad you found a home for it. Too many of these cars are going to the crusher. I've never been a fan of the 2nd gen Impulse (or hardly any 90s body style for that matter), but still, I have an appreciation and know these cars are important. I'm currently knee deep in my 87 Impulse's rebuild.
