Car really looks quite tidy and rust free for a Toyota that old, you've done well.

If it were mine, my taste would be for low and tucking much smaller, narrower wheels. Probably something like the original wheels repainted with trim rings and narrow whites, or American Racing libres with white letter tyres.

I thought about cutting an opening for the 5 gallon plastic tank in the stock tank, that way it would be in the trunk

I say just fab a custom tank, line it and weld up the hole where the old tank used to go if the old ones not salvageable. Thats just me talking from a budget perspective. lol.

Maybe just try to find a tank from a similar vintage import and try to make it work?

I would take some lacquer thinner and pour it in there to clean it up. Then get some like quick steel to temp patch the holes up.

Its all up to how you feel. Do you want to keep workin on it and workin on it but in the end have the satisfaction that its your and that you did all the work to it. Or part it out and fund anyother project.

I enjoy the car, But I just finished up my AE86 SR20det build that took a year, Im currently moving and some extra cash couldn't hurt.
The other thing is, Trying to find the rear windshield has been a bit difficult, seems to be a few in seattle but a pain to ship.

The car runs awesome and is a blast to drive something from the 60's

Yeah I know about the extra cash part hahahaha. There is nothin like owning an old school toyota though. Just make sure if you do get rid of it, its to a fellow toyota lover.
