A Honda Element. I climb/bike/drink heavily/lesbian mudwrestle, so the easy-to-clean interior is a big plus. And it's a Honda, so it won't fall apart.

yeah. something that you can walk into a dealer today, and have something that "everyone" wants 30 years from now..

like if you had a wad of cash in the early 70's and bought a stock celica or corolla, and held onto it until today. (yeah, i know that's 40 years)..

It's true. Even I have a hard time telling Toyotas from Nissans in the 80s.

I think the Koreans will be the new Japanese. They really are the disposable ones and look what's happening to them:

An Accent hatchback I spotted last summer

And someone that goes to my school. Look at the rust!

The Japanese cars will survive better than these Hyundais and Kias. These will be the ones you will. not. find. in 20 years.

I've also been thinking about all the sh*t cars GM has made in the past 15 years. Will anyone preserve them? There are tons of 80's cars that I have simply never seen because no one kept them around.

To answer the OP, I'd like a Nissan Murano. I know it's just a plebian crossover, but imo it's a really nice looking car. And a good summer family hauler in 20 years ;)

Others: the hybrids will have some following for historical significance. I'd love to have an Insight some day. Miatas will always be classics. I've been seeing fewer Mazda Millennias each year, and they could look pretty sweet all VIP'd out. Maybe the Sentra SE-R's?

Yeah, cars of TODAY(Oops, WOW... I made a mistake, sue me)... another guy talks about a Galant VR4, which was ONLY around in the US from late 88-92, yet YOU don't say ANYTHING.

We haven't had a Galant VR4 in the US since '92. Is that a car of TODAY, wiseguy?........... I didn't think so. :?

I talk about the Escort GT... which was around a year before(1987) the VR4, and you make a smartass comment.

Keep your condescending attitude to yourself... I come here to talk about cars, NOT to reply to idiots like you. :td:

That's awesome! What is it, Isuzu? Nissan?

Scratch that. The center caps say Honda. The body language reminds me of the Honda EV Plus.

As said before. The G35s and G37s will be a car I'd love to pick up and beat the shit out of. More so a G37, cause I fell in love with them after driving one.

Evo 8 or 9.

The New Maximas.

Idk what else, I really dislike new cars.

I love how weird it looks! It is a Honda HRV. I don't know if the USA got them, though. They aren't rare, but they aren't very common in europe either. So i think this will make a great classic.

I usually hate Audi's, but I like the little Audi A2:

Not only are it's looks unique, the chassis is made entirely out of Aluminium. It weighs less than 900 kg!!

actually, I was just trying to keep things on topic here. and I almost did comment about the vr4, but it was the addition of ANOTHER out-of-period car that led me to say something. not trying to be a jerk, just trying to stick to the subject.

i'm going on a limb here.... but this 30 years from now will the shizzz and hard to find:

Image

in person, it really isn't as ugly as it looks. i like it a lot. it's turbo.. awd.. decent hwy mpg. room for plenty.. and about the size of a versa..

it is so "japanese" that a lot of people hate it.. i have grown to love it, and if it were a honda, i'd probably own one right now..

Sorry, this vehicle one of the prime examples that it no longer matters how ugly the design of a car body is, if they stick pretty LED lamps in the lamp assemblies, people will still buy it.
(The other prime example is the new Hyundai Sonata.)
If Shiro Nakamura had a hand in the Juke, he really has lost his ability to design a car and his 20 year down hill slide has gone very steep indeed.

That Juke looks okay but it's also photochopped to hell and back. And a big ol' "+1" on the LED lamps comment above me.

I think it'll be one of those cool weird cars, just like the Izusu Vehicross, sorta kinda know what I mean. Disagree with me and you're reading this wrong. It's my opinion, deal with it.

Nissan, put a manual in the AWD one, damnit.
