Woohoo two of my cars made the slideshow!!! Of course I don't own either one anymore, but they made it anyway. I don't think I saw a single Subaru. Why don't they get any love? They seem to be very cool to me. Maybe there aren't any left from the 70's/80's.

Nice video. Thanks for the link.

Chris

Uh, have you SEEN the 70's Subarus? Those things were FUGLY... like they were designed by the geniuses at AMC... the guys, who gave us such winners, as the Gremlin and the Pacer.

Now, the 80's Subarus... that's a different story. It wasn't till the 80's, when Subaru got ALOT better in the styling department... I miss my '85 Subaru RX AWD turbo. I also love the sexy XT(XT6) and the 2nd gen 80's Brat.

I wouldn't mind owning another 80's Subie... if you can find them.

Thanks John, I love old Subaru's,and actually plan to buy a nice 84 wagon real soon. I plan to make it a US Ski Team replica. I will post up pics when it happens.

The white one is cool, not FUNKY. :)

The blue one, is funky and GOOFY at the same time. THOSE are the Subies, I'm talking about. I agree with you, Opel, 100%. :tu:

Like I said... Subaru woke up, in the 80's, when they got new designers... heck, the 1st car I owned, when I got my driver's license... was an '85 Subaru RX Awd Turbo... Just like the one on this brochure. I LOVED that car and it's digital dash. :)

You're right. I'll say one thing about AMCs, they were ugly..... but they were RELIABLE as a Swiss watch.

I used to own a 1973(or was it a 1974? I forget) AMC Hornet, primer grey, with a "checkerboard-plaid" interior. It even had a high powered audio system(yeah right)......... A Sparkomatic(ghetto) cassette player. The sad part is when I say "high-powered" it had more treble than bass. lol It sounded like someone dragging an ice-pick across a chalkboard, very annoying.

Even though, the Hornet was embarrassing to be seen in,..... it had a straight 6 engine, which never left me stranded and always started up on the first try. :)

The one I had, kinda looked like this..... It was the same car, with the same goofy hubcaps, except mine was primer grey.

I've actually been considering an Eagle lately... either that or a first-gen Rodeo. Already had a Rodeo once. I liked it enough to have another.
