They sold a lot of them in the US, but they were all either sedan or wagon and all of them were the long nose 6 cylinder model.

viewtopic.php?p=94407&highlight=#94407

They all pretty much look like the one in that thread.

I still see a few running around, but not many. I see a lot more in junkyards than on the road. Makes me sad to see them go away when junk like the Ford Escort (not the same as the European Escort) seem to stay around forever.

I really liked my friend's 810 Maxima sedan. It would keep up with my Triumph Spitfire in corners and still rode smoother than my Dad's Peugeot 504 (which is a compliment IMO).

I like the short nose better, but a coupe with the long nose grafter on would be interesting to see.

The closest thing I can find is made by a company called ATS and the style are Classic. They are a manufacturer from Germany so it might be a pretty good match

Thanks for posting these pics. As said earlier, I wish the U.S. got the coupe. This makes wish want to restore the '81 Maxima that I have been driving for 12 years. A pic for reference:

Nice Bleubird!

That sunny looks familiar to me! Do you have a full picture of it? Did you went to the Int. Nissan meeting in Neuruppin a few years ago?

Do you live near the Dutch-border?

Me too, but I don't remember the year anymore, I think 2000, but I'm not sure!

I was the only person from holland, I'd a white Sunny Coupé B12 with a SR20DE engine in it! :tu:

Shaping up really nice so far! My favourite shape of Maxima. Somewhere I have pictures of a Maxima I had built up as a drift car in GT4, complete with SSR Longchamps and a shakotan stance...by the time it was built up all the way I liked it better than my RX7 drift car! Like others have said, I wish we'd gotten the coupes (with that headlight treatment) stateside!
