G'day all,
Thought i would post up the only Mazda I own nowadays
My 'daily driver', the 'work car'
A 1985 Mazda 323 Limited sedan.
It seems to share a lot in common with the Familia GTX/GTR hatch backs, less the turbo engine and 4wd system.
It has the electronic dash and seats as per the Familia GTX, power windows, cruise control, air-cond, headlight washers, electric mirrors, rear wiper, remote boot and fuel cap release, electronic heater/ventilation controls etc etc. I love it for what it is, although its no early RX, I still cant bring myself to part with it.
:D :tu:
Oh, and yes i have the original 13" alloy wheels stored away.

I don't blame you. It looks like a nice lil runabout, and I dig that graphics package. 8)

That's a cool daily driver. Any pics of the interior?

Ben, 'Graphics package'? Amazingly its all still original 25 years on.

I have a few more pics but none of the interior really which although is in very good general condition (Apart from a nasty crack in the dash pad) ,being a daily driver the interior is looking rather 'lived in' at the moment, so right now isnt the best time to be taking pretty pics of its insides.
But i will put some up next time the car gets a scrub up for sure.

I really dig the digital dash!

I wish they put a dash like that in the DR30

These are cool. In Japan they had turbo versions, both 1500 SOHC and 1600 DOHC, and with full time 4WD in the facelift models 8)

i've toyed with the idea of getting a digital dash for my Laser (which is the same car) but the proper turbo dashes with built in boost light are rare as hen's teeth.

Personally I'm not a fan of digital dash's, but it's cool to see one on a 323. I never knew such a thing existed! We only had the analog dash here in Canada. Very cool daily driver.

This one has the turbo 'boost' gauge in the middle of the speedo. You can see it light up slightly when cleaning it. Static perhaps? Of course in my car it does.nothing.
Am thinking of parting with the car now....
