i bought this about 6 months ago for $1200 from a guy down the road from me who has 5 of these things. he had one with 10,000 miles and in mint original condition. anyways, i bought mine complete and running. has over a 100,000 miles and runs and starts like new. im frequently doing 70mph down the highway lol. the interior is pretty decent except for the drivers seat. the exterior needs alot of work but its all straight.

to me it looks as if someone did alot of upgrading to this thing back in the 70's. they had painted it blue because i can see it used to be a olive green color. there is also alot of different things on this car that i havent seen on any other n600. the mirrors are plastic and more of a sporty mirror but are made for the n600. the front and back seats are two tone blue and black and they look OEM but ive never seen two tone seats and especially not blue ones. the headliner is also blue. theres a old aftermarket tach in it made by 'westach'. it also has koni rear shocks....you can definetly tell all these modifications were done in the late 70's or early 80's.

ive done alot of work to this thing since i first got it. my future plans right now are to do the body and paint. but the huge rust holes in the rockers under both doors are scaring me away. does anyone have any decent rockers they would sell? also one more thing, does anyone know where i could get weatherstripping for all 6 of the windows?

you can see the tach here in this old pic. it doesnt work right though. i dont know where its suppose to get its tach signal from.

yeah damn 100k+ thats incredible for the little engine! I hope my car will make it 10k more than its 57k now.

in the 2 years of parts research, i have not seem any patch panels. is it the outer rocker or the inner as well? I think you going to have to have them fabricated from scratch

well the odometer says 05xxx so im assuming by the looks of it that its not 5,000 miles lol

and i do run the piss out of it...drag raced it, won burnout contests, pedal to the floor on long trips on the hwy, etc :)

well im not looking for new patch panels, just old used ones of a car someone may be parting out. i would make them but i dont have the tools to do so. ive been trying to keep this thing very low budget. im just glad its all complete. even has the dome light lense.

so tell us more about what its like to drive these cars like that, all ive done with mine is doodle around the block a few times, up to 30mph. and put about 20miles on it mounted to a dynometer, hardly real life conditions

so are they really sensitive to cross winds? how do the brakes compare to a simular vintage full size car? Is interstate driving really tense or completely normal feeling?.

theyre pretty much like driving a crx lol. wind isnt really an issue. just make sure your toe-in is exactly at 0 or else once you get up to 70mph, it will be all over the road.

ive had mine up to 80mph. no air filter and tuned carb a little. its pretty stable and smooth at that speed.

my brakes work good. i can lock them up if i have to. but most of the time i downshift to assist in braking.

ive never figured it...but the tank holds about 5 gallons and it takes alot of driving to use it up.. just driving around town it probably gets pretty high mpg. but on the hwy you have to keep it floored on teh rev limiter so it probably sucks up alot of gas.

Nice car & very complete. Glad to see more of these these are coming out of the barns/sheds. Kinda makes me want to keep mine.

As for the weatherstripping there is a guy on ebay that sells them.

Which would make it the exception, not the rule. 8)

Yep. My old 610 had the same mirrors on it. In fact I have two spares in the shop somewhere. :P

No idea where they're from though. Betting they are aftermarket mirrors from the 70s. :tu:
