So I'm messing around trying to find the shortest possible strut insert for my mx73. But, I'm having trouble finding a good source of dimensional information. So far, I have found a few possible swaps (ae92 and mk1 golf), both of which I have been told are quite a bit shorter than mx73 strut inserts (by about 2"). Mostly, I'm trying to find out what is going to match up closely in diameter with my mx73 strut tubes, and still be shorter by at least 1".

If anybody knows of a source or website where I can access cross information it would definitely help me out!!

koni has all their dimensions for their struts. you might have to try a bunch of different cars struts cross reference to the koni site, then look at the specs.

Well if they are 43.5mm OD inserts, there is a lot of info on insert dimensions on the various AE86 forums. For example, I have just put SW20 MR2 AGX inserts in my AE86 struts.
