Hi guys and girls,
I have been looking for an N360 to restore for about 10 years now and finally found one worth rescuing last week. It's on it's way to me here in Roxby Downs in South Australia now to be restored in memory of my Nanna.
I will post up pics of my N360 once it gets here, and updates with pics throughout the restoration.
Cheers
Ben

Here is a pic of what started the obsession all those years ago. It's a pic of me washing the N360 my Nanna had when I was a little tacker, I'm about 7, i think, in this pic so it would have been taken in around 1987.

Thanks for looking and reading
Ben

Ben, would you happen to be 30 years old now, hahah, well, nice picture indeed! Your grandma must have had this car for ages, what happened to the car in the picture?

Good luck in your restoration, hopefully you could find parts for the car

Hi kev, yes mate, I am 30
My Nanna bought hers new in 1972 and had it until around 1990 when her mechanic was unable to locate parts to repair a problem it had. She then sold it to someone who was going to fix it up for his daughter. I'm not sure what the problem was that her mechanic couldn't fix, but I have wanted one to restore in her honour since I have been able to afford it financially.
Hopefully, with the help of some members here at JNC, I will be able to locate all the parts I need to complete the restoration on mine once it gets here.
I have just read through your thread on your S600, and might I compliment you on a wonderful job you have done. Good to see you being able to locate parts for yours with the help of members on here, that's what I'm hoping will happen with my restoration.
Thanks
Ben

I can't wait to see the build get underway. My SO has become quite smitten with N360s/N600s, so we're on the hunt for one to restore. I'm sure you're well aware of Tim Mings' shop, yes?

There's taillights, coils, seatbelts and all sorts in there.

At a servo about halfway home

That's all for now. Many more pics to come as I unload and discover jus what I've gotten myself into. It looks to be a good solid car with everything there so will make an excellent base for my restoration

Cheers
Ben

If the faded lights on the car now aren't broken, are they for sale?

That's the one mate. It's a SSV Commodore, 19s, leather interior, all the fruit, plus a 6L V8 6 speed auto and 2 1/2" stainless exhaust.

Too bad you're not sending them over to the States anymore. The Aussies have been building better musclecars than America for the last 20 years or so.

Don't forget a bra for the extra bit of show! I thought car bras died out in the 1980s! Amazingly retro tacky all in one go. Nice Honda though! Neko.

Best $400 I've spent on the thing mate :tu:

Protects the front from bugs and stone chips, and when you've gotta do a 4000km round trip to pick up a 40 year old micro car you need all protection you can get from the road trains and what-not

Don't worry though, it only goes on for road trips.

+1

As tacky as bras are, if you don't leave them on forever, they do a good job of protecting the fascia of hard-nosed cars like the Commodore. Benny's got the right idea, using it for road trips.
