Are you willing to make a road trip to the New England area?

I'm still looking for a nice looking and affordable set of fender mirrors for my 81 Toyota Corona. DF, do you have any pics of your own cars sporting the fender mirrors? Was it an easy install?

Which mirrors?

Also, do you think fender mirrors would look good on an S12 200sx?

Me personally, I think it would not be good. I've seen them on an AE86 and it looked awful. On the S110 they look good, and on the same era Celica they look decent, but I wouldn't take a chance if it was me. 8)

I remember you saying, when you installed your fender mirrors, you didn't have to remove the fender... I thought you still had the car. lol

Yea, I agree with you ,totally, on the no fender mirrors for the S12. I guess they don't have pics of them, with fender mirrors, for a reason. :P

Wow, that 510 is a stunna... no matter how many times I see it. I like those Volks. I'm also loving the blue color scheme.

You didn't have to remove the fenders to install those mirrors? They go great with the lines of the car... very period correct.

Now, if I recall, DF... don't you own a light blue S12 coupe with Wats? :)

No sir. Just turned the wheel all the way to one side, then reached my hand up inside to bolt them up. :tu:

They are the original mirrors for the Bluebird Deluxe (this car's JDM counterpart), so that's partly why they flow so well.

I used to. Until a 16-year-old girl who just got her license was not paying attention and rear-ended me. She was going about 40mph, and I was going about 5mph. Needless to say the car was totalled.

Jeez... sorry to hear that. :( Lately on JNC, I've heard 2 members Coronas got rear ended, and now your S12.

Yikes... I own an S12 and a Corona, hopefully I'm not cursed. :? :)

Cursed? No. Keep your eyes on the rear view mirror? Yes. 8)

Whew.

In that case, I'm switching to one of those 5 panel Wink mirrors... like we used to use back in the 80's. lol

Honestly, if the S12 was a bit quicker off the line I may have been able to avoid it. But that stock CA20E is dog-shit slow. :P

I saw it coming, tried to accelerate away, but it wasn't enough to get out of her way. Decided to buy something a little faster to replace it. :tu:

LMAO... you're too much, DF.

Hell yeah, that CA20E is a slug of an engine. Especially, having an automatic, also. My Toyota Corona with the carburated 2.4 litre 22R, smokes it, no problem.

I wish Nissan offered the VG30e in the coupes, also. Too bad they wasted the V6 on the ugly hatchbacks... not really, a fan of the hatches. I think they look like a wedge of cheese. :)

While I do agree, there is at least one cool looking hatch... 8)

Yep, there are exceptions to the rule. Now, that is a sexy looking hatchee... I've been following this car on Speedhunters... very shakotan.

That guy must have a good income. Previously, he had a pair of Work Equips and a pair of SSR Mark IIIs on there. Now, he's sporting a complete set of Longchamps. Lucky duck. :) :tu:

Not to go off topic here... but you've peaked my curiosity. What did you get as a faster replacement?
