Honda to design the next Nissan GT-R?

Yep, it's official, Carlos Ghosn of Nissan, has asked for Honda's help in making the GT-R more user friendly to the younger crowd.

This is what they came up with... :roll:

Ah yes, the horrible Honline or Skyda tuning. It's always driven me nuts to see a Honda (which I have to be honest I dislike) with Skyline parts.

Why hasn't natural selection prevented this madness?!

On the other hand, there are few cars that can pull off the Skyline tail light mod properly. And the only ones I've seen that have done a decent job are within the family tree. Like a 300zx:

OMG... those are some automotive monstrosities, right there. I think the Accord with the Supra nose and the CRX with the Mercedes Benz E-class headlights/BMW grille, take the trophy, for OOGLY. :lol:

I agree with you, that 300zx can pull those R32 taillights off... at least it's staying brand loyal. I hate when people try cross/branding cars, that is so stupid.

If you're gonna do a Honda, at least use an S2000 or NSX parts... not Skyline or Supra pieces.

Gotta love the fake me out R33/R34 Acura Skyline Legends... a FWD GT-R?? :roll:

Now if we're being 100% honest, I gotta say the tail lights don't look that bad...

It's the execution that sucks. And all the other attendant "crap" that comes with it. If the tail lights were adapted to one with a stock ass and a decent paint job, it would blend in just fine. But only if it's just the tail lights...

Actually, that doesn't look too bad. It's clean, plus it looks ALOT closer to a Nissan Skyline than the Hondas do.

A Proton is really a Mitsubishi, right?

Well that particular Proton model (Impian/Waja) was designed in-house but still powered by a Mitsubishi engine initially, later powered by Proton's own Campro engine.

My friend pointed out "Stupid people reproduce faster". So we never run out of stupid people, and this proves Darwin was wrong.

I'll add the observation that people without any sense or taste, for no apparent reason, never seem to be lacking for money to spend. Meanwhile, those of us with a clue and a little style are perpetually without money to spend, because we are not selling the gaudy, worthless crap that the rest of the world spends money on.

And I don't think I will ever stop being asked "Why can't I get clear/Altezza tail lights, big mouth front bumpers, or white face gauges for my (fill in any car name that is not a Civic)?".

Usually, people with taste are somewhat educated and spend money on homes and student loan debt as opposed to dumping thousands of dollars into a 1996 Honda Accord. :lol:

Homes might not be the best example right now. Didn't real estate values drop by 25% in the last 18 or 24 months? A 1996 Honda Accord is depreciating slower than a house, and would be a good investment by comparison.
And I thought the really smart people deferred their loans out by decades and then just defaulted on them.
