wow looks like quite a bit bigger turbo and mpi? I want more infor on teh engine. Awesome car. I have a few in my site right now. just need a few thousand more...

Yeah I was there for the press day so they didn't have a prob with popping the hood. Besides...I was the only guy interested in the thing :P

Do you have any specs on the car?
Looking for info on "works" prototype Lancer Turbos of that era.
A couple were supposed to have been built with IRS installed... (like Starion IRS.)

I intend to convert my JDM 1800 GSR to IRS during restoration.

how bout the lancer ex 2000?...its differnt from the 1800 turbo

Other than an increase in capacity... throttle body & injectors... and interior trim & paint scheme, where there any other major differences between the two?

correct me if im wrong but, i know the lancer ex turbo 1800 is has only 180hp compared to the 276hp of the EX2000

thanks the correction, i was able to read an article that the lancer ex 2000 homologation series that was used in the lakes rally has 276hp

No correction my friend, I'm no expert... just a small addition to general Lancer 'EX' info.
Your 'spec' may be for the "works" cars. Mine are definately for OEM (stock) models.

Can you answer a few questions please?... Can you post a link to that article on the Lancer EX Turbo 'homolgation specials'?
Maybe it has more info about Image's "works" Lancer EX rally prototypes.

Do you know if a prototype was fitted with the Starion's Independant Rear Suspension system?
I'm not sure but I think I read/heard that one or two did. Can you verify?

My Dad's Galant Turbo has "Starion" IRS. I intend to swap it into my rwd 1800 GSR along with a 4G93T ('96 4wd 1800 GSR)
+ 5-speed ('85 1800 GSR + adapter plate.) So any info that I can get will be a big help.

These are the comparative dimensions...

can anyopnme answer me this. Do the ex2000 or ex1800 lancer turbos only use a map sensor, or do they have a MAS as well?
