Camshaft! That's the least nostalgic car in that picture! Oh well, you may be excused. Here's another...

I've never been able to find a model of my car - a FA3TS Mazda 1300. :(

Hi Cam, thank you for the thumbs up, appreciated. It pains me to see the collection all out of order and a majority of it buried away in cupboards. Must get the lounge room painted !

The Subaru cabinet is from Ikea, but had white shelves in it originally. I had glass shelves cut to size and also added the lights. Works a treat as subtle lighting in the lounge when entertaining too

The other cabinets were made by a good mate of mine. He has built a huge number of them now and has a template all set up for drilling the peg holes etc. They are a simple box design with melamine backing sheet glued and tacked to the back. Simple design and very effective at displaying the collection without taking up floor space or internal lighting.

Superb collection and excellent display!
I guess it pays to have friends with woodworking skills!
Most of my metal is packed away. I keep telling myself, one day, one day...

Thanks Michael,

Do it, there is nothing nicer than seeing your collection out on display :tu:

The cabinets I have weren't too expensive to construct .... glass will be your biggest outlay

Regards
Dave
