This is the third wheel that I have tested. If you notice there are 16 bolts instead of the traditional 6, 8, 12 depending on the year. Most of the SSR Techno series if not all are welded 3pc. Because they are welded the bolts were use just for aesthetic reasons. Well after testing a few, I have decided to make them with 16 since this is the minimum amount that can be used without any failure. I could of done 12 but didn't want to test the limits. Now I can do them in 8 bolts but that would mean I would have to weld the wheel up like the original specs. The way I chose would allow the wheels to be true modular. BTW, these use to be 14x6.5 +12

Who's making the barrels? Nice job by the way. The 16 bolts look way better than just 8 or 12.

I read one of your other posts on a corolla forum, I think... and you were saying something about possibly keeping some of the wheels 8 bolt? Is that after you weld the barrels? Or just sealant? Will the 8 bolts be strong enough to withstand daily driving? I know you said they are not for racing... but I would be concerned for normal driving wear and tear...
