sweet! Both bikes now have: wider belts, bigger rear tires and both hit 35+ already with $30 worth of mods! (That's with me on them @170lbs)

Got a third spree today for free!! A guy pulled up behind me at 711 when I was gassing up and asked if I needed a parts bike. Went andpicked it up tonight! White '84, no title, non-running, but hey, free bike!! It'll be nice for if one of our bikes gets layed over or something :)

Woohoo! My spree is now running awesome. Polished the float seat with compound, and it fixed my carb problem. Ill get some pics up on the next nice day :). Looking into swapping the head off my parts bike onto mine. Supposedly raises compression.

Got some pics. The front is crazy slammed when I am on it, but it looks a bit high when its up on the stand. I made a side stand out of a spare stock stand today, but it was kinda sketchy, and dragged a bit when I made a hard lean to the right, so I just swapped back to the stock stand. Maybe I'll buy a jdm sidestand, but this is okay for now. Here's some pics.

I think it's like 95lbs or something? Really really light.

Woohoo, did alot today! Ported intake and exhaust, swapped in a higher compression head and modified the drive pulley for a bit higher gearing! Bike went from about 31mph top speed up to about 36-38mph. Barely any bottom end power, but around 15mph, it really opens up. I love free mods that work!

Here's some pics! (I had just washed the cylinder in water about an hour earlier, so that's just a little surface rust in the pic):

Shane -

talk to Brian aka Bakaracer on PSTOC or PNWriders.com. He races scooters and in particular Honda scooters. His started out as a 50cc Elite and now regularly can run with the Lambrettas and Vespas in the 110-160cc class. You can do all sorts of stuff to them to get them up into the super fun range of speed and acceleration all while maintaining in the State's eyes a 500c bike that you wont need to be endorse to ride!

Scooter tuning is sick and lots of fun. Good find on the Spree and have fun!

haha, the sound system wins :D. Can't say I care too much for any of those, but this is kind of the look I'm gonna go for :D (only sans daytona wheels and OMG tailpipe, I want to stick with 10" wheels and meats)

I saw your bike on hs.net, very nice, I love the cowling :) . I don't know if ill be racing the spree, but we'll see. Do you need a suit to run or just a snell helmet?

leathers is recommended but you can use full motocross gear.you have to have that under armor that the motocross guys use. i rather use leathers. less change of roadrash for sure.

^ leathers are spendy though :(, and I'm sure hard to find for a 6'3" 160lb dude, lol.

Soooo, my brothers had this chinese 5hp scooter sitting at his house for a while that doesnt work. It's got a decent triple-tree front fork setup and diskbrakes. It actually fits the spree pretty well The problem is the forks are a bit wide, and the wheel is a 6". Toying with the idea of getting the axle welded through a stock ruckus front wheel and running a 120/90-10 on the front with the stock ruckus rear setup. I'll need to trim my front shield a bit, the forks hit pretty hard.
