Hi all my name is michael and I have just started resto on my 1977 RA23 with a set of motors to go into it , both are the 18rgeu version and one is still on efi the other is back to carbs (solex typeT)

Found the car in a small country town and it had been stored in a garage for 15 years so the dash is still soft :D will post up some piccys when i work out how.

Any way cheers all

I am also a member of toymods incase there is a conflict of interests , but i will be trying to add knowledge to both and suck knowledge back eqaully

Welcome aboard mate!

Neat looking Celica, looks to be a good clean example, country towns are great, my TA22 came from one a few hours west of me!

yeah was shocked when i saw it on ebay and got it and the second motor for 3500 cash before sale ended. but it is very clean and was hidden away for 15 years in and older guys garage .

The efi has been taken of of the motor in the car and i am still working out wether to use the type t solexs i have or go aftermarket ECU with the efi from second motor . might go carbs i think and then do full overhaul on the second one with different cams /pistons and turbo on it

Welcome and Nice score!! Those Celica's remind me of a mini Camaro.

Have had the type T solexs refurbished and getting around to painting the fuel tank afor it goes back in .

Making up a new mounting possy for the low pressure pump and then will charge the battery and see what i got
