Hi All

Just found this site (again) by mistake while doing a google search, saw some awesome photos, thought I should join up. I'm a real fan of the 70's and 80's Japanese cars. I'm lucky enough to live in New Zealand where JDM parts and cars are plentiful due to our importation laws. Anyway at the moment I own a

1G Honda Civic '74 Eb1 with a EN4 conversion - sadly got burnt out.
1G Honda Crx '84 E-AF with a full Si Conversion
1G Honda Civic '79 Sb1 with a City Turbo swap
3G Honda Civic E-AT Si

Have had various Toyotas and Mitsubishis from the 80's too, Corrola GTs, Cordia etc

Theres a few of the CR-X. Its a '84 with a '85 Si conversion, so has the JDM Browntop ZC motor, good for about 135ps, which in the 840kg body is a lot of fun. Has the digital dash setup from the factory, and I've done a few modifications like bilstien suspension all round, cusco strut brace, em-racing c pillar bar, FGK headers/exhaust, drag 902 wheels, mugen copy cams and steering wheel.

Do the headlight eyelids raise up when you turn the headlights on? Never seen an '80s Civic with that set-up...

Yea, only the 84/85 JDM CR-X's have them. They look pretty cool, own downside is they tend to fly off at 120+ kph

Wow  a CR-X with the flip up lights? Strange but, I'm liking it. :D

Cheers guys :) - I agree looks like an 80's robot, but thats what I love about it... Heres some photos of the mint '74 Civic that got burnt out... Sadly we had only had it back on the road 5 days, so don't have any photos of it before hand... Little bastards use my university text books to start the fire on the drivers seat. The tired to steal it but failed, then didn't even take the headunit, my mp3 player or cash that was in the glove box. Was just a senseless act of destruction - sadly thats what the 'Honda hatred' is like in New Zealand.

Sadly the bonnet damage was done by the fire department trying to disconnect the battery at 4am

That's too bad that had to happen. I hate it when haters act on their feelings only to destroy what doesn't belong to them. Too bad that had to happen.

Just from the pics, your biggest challenge would be trying to fix or replace the bonnet hood damage from the fire department, unless you know of one sitting in a wrecking yard somewhere.

New seats, steering column, time for a Nardi steering wheel, new headliner, carpet. That dash is odly still straight but that glove box door has to be replaced or fabricated. Don't know if they make replacement interior door panels for those cars or not either.

My vote is :tu: still salvageable.
