 Post subject: NX1600 Digital Cluster in a Zenki S13

Yup, A digital NX1600 cluster in a 89 240 coupe. It was hard, believe me, but I did it just to put away rumors that it couldn't be done, and to shut a few people up. The wiring was the hard part, Thanks to Fireblade RX-7 for all the wiring help, dude your the best. I didn't need to use the NX speed sensor, or the temp sensor, because I have a twin cam swap with a 89 single cam tranny, and I guess the 89 tranny speed sensor puts out the same pulses per revolution as a NX speed sensor. But any way here are the pics.

Had to cut away plastic at the base and the top of where the cluster sits because it the cluster is so tall it was hitting the bottom and the top of the cluster pod.

I am not sure about the interchangeability of the NX clusters, but you might have to do some wiring to make it work. What year is her 100NX, and does it have a tachometer in the current gauge cluster?

As long as the speed sensor is compatible (2 wires, pulsed signal, X number of pulses per revolution or whatever) you can make any 4 cylinder cluster work.

Its a 94 and yes it has Tacho too. If it can be made to fit an S13 I'm sure I can make it fit the NX

Yea it'll fit and mount up perfectly, all the B13 and NX clusters mount the same way and are shaped the same way, so you'll have no problem, just some minor wiring. Hope it works out!

An electronic speed sensor.... And maybe a fuel level sensor, and temp sensor that matches the ones on the NX1600/240sx.
