was wondering what options do I have for manual transmissions to go behind this engine?
Since it's a descendant of the 3AC/4AC/4AGE engine, you can buy it and hope like hell an older Corolla RWD 5spd will bolt up.
I can't swear the bellhousing bolt pattern is the same, but there's a reasonable chance it is.
Also how much of the wire harness do I need???
From the donor car, you'd want pretty much all of it. And the air flow meter, ECU, relays, fusebox, etc. No telling how much you'll end up using, but you want to start with as much as you can.
Any body done a swap like this?????
Doubtful. That's a lot of work for very little gain. We're talking about a 1.8L 115hp engine after all.
Done the "right" way, I'd say you can expect to spend $2000+ by the time it's in and sorted.
It will be smoother and more reliable than the stock engine, just don't expect it to be a lot
