I have come across a few posts about a 2tg head on a 3tc block, but would like to know more from people who have done it. Is this a good build or is it better to just build a complete 3tc? And as far as a 3tc build goes what are some good mods to get more power out one? Thanks in advance for any info you can throw my way fellow JNCers!

I dont think there's a differance in the 2tc and 3tc heads other than the early heads don't have emissions ports. It could be the 2tg/3tc hybrid they're talking about.

that's great question. I've been wondering about that too. A lot hybrid I know is just a early 2tc head and 3t block.
Btw, what do you do on the oil passage way on the camshaft once you put in the dummy camshaft? do you need to turn the bearing caps around on the empty slots?

According to 3tgmotor.com ( not sure if that's right I will double check) you do have
Turn them.
