so glad you are going with a toyota motor, putting a chevy or ford motor into this classic would be like putting a 454 or a 460 into a 1969 dodge charger!

Sounds great. if the the sump is in front youll have the probelems with the cross member. the 22r is a mid sump. Unless the 1u is shorter than the 22r.

Awesome. a 1UZ is a great idea... that shape lends itself well to a V8 for some reason, I can't really explain why. Good luck and keep us posted! :tu: :tu:

lol. the way i see it most of the time i dont even tell people on the street what i have under the hood

so really it wouldnt of made a difference to me
it would just be a v8 1uz or 350 the only reason im putting a 1uz in it is because of the front pump and its a classic it deserves it!!

but im still not going to open the hood on the street i love it when people under estimate the japanese muscle

this is going to be my first swap so its going to be though for me
it seem to me like the 350 was the easyest way to make a beast
thats why i was considering a 350 and im a chevy guy thats it not to pissed people off but in that case 350 it is!! (kidding)
