I don't think the 2nd gen celica is that much heavier. I think it might be. A little lighter.

I finally got it running, but still a lot to do. Mostly a bunch of little stuff to button up. Still need to get the exhaust finished and the driveline. I dont have any pic for this update though.

Well I love this project and the engine swap, I was gonna do this swap on my 1972 celica, but everyone on the toyotanation board refused to help or give me any info on a swap unless it was a 22r (needless to say, i dont go to that forum anymore, and was before i discovered jnc)

Finally got around to mounting the oil cooler and buttoned up pretty much everything else. Hopefully Ill get the exhaust finished this weekend.

I fixed the oil leak on the oil cooler return line and FINALLY drove it. The exhaust still isnt finished but it felt very good. I think it will be better when I get the exhaust finished.

Great Swap! Actually trying to do this myself on my 1st gen. Do you mind sharing your paper templates or cutting out the template and drilling the holes and ill weld together myself? I can of course arrange payment. PM me Thanks!
