I have owned this car for several years. I bought it from a good friend of mine who originally built it to the way it is now. I haven't driven it that much cuz for awhile there was something always wrong with it. I slowly started working on it and working some things out. I had to put it into overdrive when my AW11 decide it needed a engine rebuild. Well now that I have been driving it for awhile I have gotten a new inspiration for it. I have now decided to completely re-build it in modern VIP style. We are talking full leather interior, custom front a rear VIP tables, VIP curtains and custom lighting. I also plan on converting it to air suspenion, some very nice 18" wheels and a complete re-paint in late model Celica dark blue.

Picture from several years ago, in it's prime.

How it currently looks right now.

I figure I will use the current wheels on the MR2 and just clean and powder coat them. I will post some pics of the ideas I have soon.

i was just thinking where's all the junction produce stuff & then i scrolled down & saw the pics :tu:

SSR Professor's or OZ Opera's are some pretty awesome rims to consider also

you might be able to get some leather seats from the last gen Cressida we got here in the US & make those work nicely.
IIRC they had these neat dimples/buttons & kinda like tie looking things -- they look VIP already in my mind anyways.

good luck with the project looking forward to seeing the progress.

Well it all boils down to several issues: 1. There are only so many modern style wheels available in the 4 x 114.5 bolt pattern. 2. Ease of availablity, even if I found a JDM wheel, it might not be real easy to get it here. 3. Finding a style I think works with the car, and a style that I personally like.

Any plans for the motor? :P
I'm guessing not

Goodluck though, what will the interior colour theme be?

Well the car already has a custom exhaust. I do plan on changing the muffler/tip combo for one that looks more VIP. It also has a custom air intake with free flow filter. I also have a rare header for it that I plan to put on it in the near future. I also have a special, custom built, high performance head that my friend bought for the car but never got around to putting on. It came along with the car when I bought it.

The dash and panels are all navy blue so I will redo all door panels and seats in real navy blue leather. All the seats will of course be redone extra puffy to fit the VIP style. I even found a place not that far from me that I can have all the fake wood plastic pieces in the car recoated to match the steering wheel better.
