Ben,

I was only messing with stationwagon guy :D and yes I am going to keep it stock, I am told that it has new head work/tires/clutch/breaks work done recently.

What is the best way to protect dash from cracking?
Like I said dash is in mint condition and I want to make sure it stays that way. Should I get a cover for it and hope for the best?

Thanks everyone for appreciating it.

Lol, it's all good.

Seriously though, if you lose interest... call me.

Keeping dash from cracking- I'm hoping there's better ways, but I'd start with some of those dash cleaners, look around, a lot of them have stuff in them to moisturize the material. Other than that... get one of those tacky dash carpets and toss it on when it's out in the sun. :( May not look pretty, but it'll go a long way in protecting it.

Like SWG said, dash carpet. I'm wary of putting chemicals on it, because they might dry, discolor or somehow alter the dash over a long period of time (when combined with exposure to sunlight, etc), or the chemicals might not be for older materials. There's just too many variables. This is a museum worthy car that will be around for another 50 years at least.
